Now let me preface this article by saying – the arguments and opinions I make here, reflect the emotional roller coaster of a fan.
Let me first start off by saying, we – as fans of the club – should apologize to Antonio Conte for the way the club and players treated him. Two seasons ago, we were an absolute shambles. That in itself is an indicator that we had too much “player power” in this team (which I will get onto in more detail).
Conte, a man who took Juventus from the bottom to the top and won the league for three consecutive years, came to Chelsea and took our team to the top, winning the league comfortably.
He revolutionized the game with his 3-4-3. He was given a good team, and he worked with what he had and produced a system, that almost every team in the following season reverted to. He had a worse squad in the 2017-2018 season and still won the FA Cup. Nobody can deny that this man is a winner. There is a reason why, as fans, we loved him. He was a passionate tactical genius.
KEY MOMENTS, MEMBERS AND PLAYERS THAT GOT CONTE SACKED
Now, I am not saying I agree with everything Conte did – for example – the way he dealt with Diego Costa. But as good as Costa was, he was a player who was unsettled since the beginning. He was unable to learn English and clearly desired to go back to Atletico Madrid. His mid-season tantrum to go to China was childlike. I really don’t want a player in our club who doesn’t want to be here – regardless of who they are. That blue shirt has to be worn with pride.
On Willian, half of the Chelsea jury is out on whether they even want him in the team. In his recent interview, Willian commented on his strange relationship with Conte.
His philosophy, his way of dealing with things is very complicated. There were a few games … Sometimes we just don’t understand. You’re playing very well, then you get substituted. I do not understand. There were two times when I got substituted and I went straight to the locker room. It was hard to work with him
Apparently, his “daughter was playing with the cell phone and she ended up putting those emojis over Conte,” Willian told ESPN Brasil. Ok, Willian – First things first. If you get substituted, it’s your duty to respect the manager and sit on the bench – regardless of whether you agree or not. Secondly, how can you disrespect your manager by putting cup emojis on him? And then have the nerve of blaming your daughter? I’m calling BS on that!
David Luiz is the worst defender one-versus-one and the most unreliable player in a back four (I hope Sarri doesn’t start him). He seems to give so much importance to the style of play rather than improving himself.
Luiz told HaytersTV:
I’m very happy with his new philosophy, a philosophy to play nice football,’ This manager likes to play attractive football, he likes to play offensive and attacking football, so I’m very happy working hard trying always to show him my best. In two years with this new philosophy, everyone enjoys watching this type of football like you mentioned. All teams enjoy having possession of the ball. If you have the ball is easier to score goals, play nice football and win titles.
First of all – Why are we suddenly so obsessed with “playing beautifully”. I mean, it’s almost like ogling at your new neighbour’s hot wife. Yes! Man City plays a beautiful game. SO WHAT?? Chelsea never played beautiful football ever. When we had Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Ashely Cole, John Terry – we were pragmatic, we were physical, we were efficient. This new found lust for “beautiful football” is just unrealistic. The way to counter Man City is not by copying them, but rather by finding another out of the box solution – which a man like Conte is capable of.
Luiz should be sold! Willian should be sold! The hierarchy of power should be established. The manager should be respected. The power that players have at Chelsea is ridiculous!!!

Marina Granovskaia. Oh Lord!! An individual who pursued dance and music at college, and who was a personal assistant to Roman – is the DIRECTOR!
She bought in Alvaro Morata, Davide Zappacosta, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger, Danny Drinkwater, Ross Barkley, Emerson and Olivier Giroud. How many of these players did Conte REALLY want?
This man just took a broken team and won the damn Premier League, and the board gives him these guys! Seriously? He has all the right in the world to be disappointed.
But hey! Instead of trusting a guy who won two trophies in two seasons who gives it his all, let’s trust in a cigarette smoking, wannabe Pep Guardiola because he played “nice football” and finished second in Serie A.
