Maurizio Sarri will get his first taste of Premier League action on August 11th as he takes his Chelsea side to West Yorkshire to face Huddersfield Town.
Many Chelsea fans will feel like their side owes David Wagner’s men a beating after the Terriers 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge in Many all but ended the Blues’ hopes of playing in the upcoming season’s Champions League.
Chelsea supporters will be hoping for a repeat of the game between the two sides from last season when goals from Tiemoue Bakayoko, Willian and Pedro were enough to see Antonio Conte’s men claim all three points.
The John Smith’s Stadium will be rocking once again as Huddersfield begin their second successive Premier League campaign, so Sarri’s team will need to be on their game to avoid an embarrassing defeat.

Those who are interested in Premier League betting will know that Chelsea will be huge favourites to win the game. However, the Blues have had a disruptive summer and with Sarri only arriving at the club in mid-July, he hasn’t had too long to put his stamp on the side.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the Chelsea side in this game could be missing two valuable pieces. Both Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante played deep into the World Cup and as such, are both going to arrive back late and therefore, they’re likely to miss the game as they build up their fitness. The fact that both players have been linked with transfers away from Stamford Bridge could also be a concern.
Even with that in mind, Chelsea’s squad is full of top-class international players and if they play to a high level, which they know they can, they should have too much for the Terriers.
However, Sarri will be well aware that a below-par performance, coupled with a hostile crowd in Huddersfield, could lead to a defeat so he’ll be drilling his players between now and kick-off to ensure that they are in the best possible condition for the game.
