Chelsea have no plans to loan out Aleksandr Golovin should he complete his expected £27 million move to Stamford Bridge.
The Telegraph report that the Blues are in talks to sign the player from CSKA Moscow and see him as a valuable asset for their first-team squad next season.
Juventus had been linked with the player, but reports have suggested that they are now looking elsewhere, clearing the way for the player to join Chelsea.
The Blues want the player to battle for a place in their squad next season, with the aim of adding some youthfulness to their midfield.
Golovin is a player that Chelsea have tracked for some time and they now lead the race to sign the player who has enjoyed an impressive World Cup campaign.

The Russian international is also someone that Maurizio Sarri is a known admirer of. Sarri had attempted to sign the player for Napoli during his time in charge of the club.
The 22-year-old put in a couple of impressive performances for Russia during the World Cup group stages, which included an eye-catching free-kick against Saudi Arabia on the opening day of the tournament.
