Chelsea midfielder Willian’s agent has reportedly held informal talks with Manchester United in the last month.
The Manchester Evening News report that Willian’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, met with United officials to discuss the possibility of a move during this summer’s transfer window.
United manager Jose Mourinho is known to be a huge fan of the player having signed him for Chelsea in 2013 and he’s since attempting to re-sign him on two occasions, including an enquiry about his availability last summer.
Willian fits the description of the calibre of player Mourinho has targetted in recent years, as he has looked to acquire players accustomed to the Premier League such as Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku.

In addition, the 55-year-old raved about the ability of Brazilian players last month, saying:
I think that a team without a Brazilian isn’t a team. But also, a squad with three or four Brazilian athletes, depending on their profile, cannot make a great team too. I’m kidding! I think their talent is fantastic and the creativity of the Brazilian player cannot be measured. If a European team, like, very European, could have a Brazilian in their squad, it would bring a ‘Brazilian thing’ to the game and I think that’s very important.
The Red Devils have also been linked with moves for Brazilian duo Alex Sandro and Fred.
Willian has been one of Chelsea’s stand out players in a disappointing campaign, scoring six times and providing seven assists in 36 Premier League appearances.
The 29-year-old is contracted to Stamford Bridge until 2020, but his age and length of contract could persuade the Blues to sell.
