Jamie Redknapp wasted no time in tearing into Chelsea for their performance in their 3-0 defeat to Newcastle United, reports the Mail Online.
The Sky Sports pundit was speaking after their final match of the season, and he could not believe what he had seen.
The 44-year-old was fuming with the way the Blues played, saying they let the whole club down:
Chelsea have been diabolical. Honestly, the way that they have played considering what is at stake.
There was a slim chance the Blues could have made the top four, but a win was paramount to that. However, they were outplayed by the Magpies, having just six shots compared to their opponents 18.
Redknapp was that shocked by the game that he thought the players should show appreciation to the fans:
I’ve never said this before but they should actually pay for the fans to get home or refund them because they don’t deserve the performance that their team put on
With the FA Cup final to come next weekend, Antonio Conte will now be unsure what side to pick as some players were given a chance to make an impact on the team.
