The reports from France claim that the club has an agreement in place, ready for the ex-Dortmund boss to replace Unai Emery this summer, despite interest from Arsenal and Bayern.
Emery, despite looking set to win Ligue 1 this season, is widely expected to stand down after failing to impress in the Champions League.
With Antonio Conte also likely to move on from Stamford Bridge this summer, the Blues had been linked but now look set to miss out on the German.
Conte remains certain he wants to see out his contract but has also been linked with Milan and the Italian national job this season.
Reports over the last week have linked Tuchel heavily with a move to the Premier League.
Initial claims said Arsenal were the most likely destination but the connection with Sven Mislintat means that a move is unlikely.
