Last month, Chelsea’s interest in Napoli fullback Elseid Hysaj was revealed but fresh reports have named contenders from home and abroad for his signature.
Italian source Tuttomercatoweb report that Bayern Munich and Arsenal are among clubs interested in signing Hysaj from in the summer.
While both Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso have impressed since Antonio Conte made the switch to the wing-back system, 2017/18 purchases Davide Zappacosta and Emerson Palmieri have failed to live up to expectations since their arrivals.
Chelsea are tipped to dive back into the fullback market and Hysaj, a player who can operate adequately in either fullback position, is one that’s being looked at.
Hysaj has a €50m release clause in his contract go live for the first 15 days of July only which is interesting the likes of Bayern Munich and Arsenal who have their own fullback problems. ESPN also report that both Manchester United and Real Madrid are looking at Hysaj as a potential summer recruit.
