Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has called for Alvaro Morata and Gary Cahill to work harder to get back into his plans.
Morata and Cahill were both left out of their respective international sides, after not featuring regularly for Chelsea in the league.
However Conte has said that he is not to blame, and that the players can only get back into their respective national teams with hard work.
“There is only one way: to work hard and to show that you deserve to play.
I don’t see another way. Not to complain. You have to go straight. I can help them to improve if they work very hard to show they deserve to go.”

Conte, who used to be the Italian national team manager, has experience of picking players and said these months are vital for any player wanting to go to the World Cup.
“Then there are two months for every player to show they deserve to go and play in the World Cup.
“But usually with the national team, you can call also players that are not playing with regularity. When I was coach of national team it happened because I trusted in the players.
“It can happen when a player stays in a great team, and there is a lot of competition and you can stay on the bench.”
