Eden Hazard is having a typically excellent season in Chelsea colours and this has not gone unnoticed by Barcelona’s players ahead of their Champions League clash at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
The La Liga leaders travel to London to take on the Blues in the first leg of the round of 16 clash and are well aware of the threat that Hazard poses, according to Barca midfielder Ivan Rakitic.
Croatian international Rakitic addressed the media today ahead of his side’s game against Chelsea and, as quoted by the Evening Standard, waxed lyrical about Hazard and his qualities.
He is maybe the most important player at Chelsea. But it’s not just about Hazard. We know he is really fast, and looking at the last games, he’s played well so must be ready for him but also for the whole team.

Rakitic also lauded Hazard as ‘world class’.
Twitter: Rakitic on whether Hazard is world class: “yeah for me he is. For me he is the most important player but Chelsea is… https://t.co/EgCUsaAckq (@NizaarKinsella)
Rakitic’s kind words about Hazard are sure to be in the back of Barcelona’s players’ minds when they lock horns with the Blues, as the Belgian international aims to give his side the advantage ahead of the second leg at the Nou Camp.
Barcelona and their men have been extremely complimentary towards Chelsea in the build-up to this game and will know that they will have to be at their best if they are to secure an important win at Stamford Bridge.
