Chelsea winger Willian has revealed how he put off Hull City’s David Meyler, who missed a penalty in the Blues’ 4-0 victory on Friday night.
Speaking to the club’s official website after the game, Willian says he predicted that Willy Caballero, who is known for his excellent penalty record, would save the spot kick.
I said to him: “You’re going to miss, I said: “Don’t shoot in the middle because Willy won’t move, he stays,” and then when he missed I said: I told you.

Cesc Fabregas brought down on-loan Liverpool winger Harry Wilson inside the penalty box, gifting the Championship side an opportunity to pull a goal back.
Both Meyler and Willian were seen sharing a laugh and a joke before he took the penalty, that Cabellero would go on to save.
It was the Brazilian who inspired Chelsea’s to victory on Friday night. Willian was influential in the 4-0 win that sealed their place in the next round of the FA Cup.
The 29-year-old scored twice and came close to netting a third, only to be denied by the woodwork.
