Chelsea are short of attacking options in the squad at the moment and throughout January they were linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey.
The Jamaican winger has caught the eye over the past 12 months since making a £12m move to Leverkusen from Genk and Bailey himself has revealed his desire to play in the Premier League n the near future.
Bailey has 10 goals and five assists in 20 appearances so far this season and the 20-year-old has caught they eye of Arsenal as well of late with the Gunners said to be considering a summer move of their own for Bailey.
However, Chelsea remain long-term admirers of the attacker and reports claim that the Blues are ready to make a €30m move to sign the forward in the summer transfer window.
Despite interest from Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League, Bayer Leverkusen are said to be eyeing a fee closer to €50m for Bailey if they are to sell him.
