Chelsea could reportedly miss out on signing the two AS Roma stars, Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri, due to the transfer window shutting in a matter of days, according to Football London.
The Blues have been linked with a move for Dzeko to come to Stamford Bridge as Alvaro Morata looks to be injured, and Michy Batshuayi has been told he can leave by Antonio Conte, while Tammy Abraham remains on loan at Swansea.
This move became a £44m move for a duo from the Italian capital, with Dzeko and left back Emerson Palmieri making the move to West London, as has been reported for the last few weeks during this January transfer window.

The move for Palmieri would provide competition for Marcos Alonso but would also send Baba Rahman on loan, most likely back to Schalke 04.
The reason that reports are coming out saying that the transfer will not be made is because of agents’ fees and negotiations between the two actual clubs.
There is hope for Antonio Conte that the deal could be finished today (January 26th) but the deal will have to be completed by 12pm tonight for the two Serie A players to be able to feature in the FA Cup match at Stamford Bridge against Newcastle United.
