Antonio Rüdiger has joined Cesc Fàbregas in highlighting the importance of squad rotation at Chelsea.
The Blues’ summer signing marked his return to the team with a goal on Wednesday, as his side claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Swansea at Stamford Bridge.
Afterwards, Rüdiger insisted that he is content at the Blues, despite having his opportunities limited in his first season in the Premier League.
Rüdiger has been limited to just nine starts in the Premier League, with Conte having a number of options at the back with the likes of Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Andreas Christensen all vying for a position in Chelsea’s backline of three.

Speaking to the Official Chelsea website the 24 year-old expressed his understanding of the rotation.
We have some momentum and that is why we also have to rotate and everyone needs to get in their best form. We have to keep going and winning.
He continued and went on to add,
Football is about competition and I know we have good players like Christensen, Cahill, Azpilicueta and David Luiz, and it is important if I get the chance to try to help the team like this.
I am very happy because my aim is always to help the team and if I get a goal like this it is always very good.
