Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is one of the men being touted as a possible replacement for Michael Emenalo, who left his role as technical director earlier this week, according to reports.
According to Matthew Dunn of the Express, Lampard is in the frame to take over as the club look to bring somebody in who can help improve the fractious relationship between manager Antonio Conte and owner Roman Abramovich.

There would obviously be some serious doubts about Lampard’s credentials for taking such an important role but there is a feeling that Chelsea want to hire somebody with a deep knowledge of the club, and the former England international certainly fits the bill in that regard.
Emenalo says he stepped away from the role as he would like to spend more time with his family but that has not stopped conspiracy theorists from suggesting that something must have gone on behind the scenes.
Either way, the position is now vacant and Lampard could be the man to fill it.
