Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has sent former Blues captain John Terry a signed shirt, with a special message on it for his ex-teammate.

The Spanish central midfielder wrote on the shirt:
Thank you for everything. It’s been a pleasure and honour to play with you my friend.
My only regret is that we didn’t do it sooner. You are a legend! Love you mate!
Fabregas joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014, having previously played for Arsenal for eight years.
The Spaniard won two Premier League titles and a League Cup in his time shared with John Terry at the club, when the Chelsea legend was obviously still the captain at Stamford Bridge.

Fabregas scored the last goal of Chelsea’s season in 2015-16; and little did we know that just one year later, he and Terry would no longer be playing together; the legendary centre-back is now plying his trade for Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa in the Championship, having left Chelsea at the end of last season. He signed a one year contract with the Villa Park club as he bids to help them back to the top flight of English football.
Terry made a massive 717 appearances for the Blues, putting him third on the all-time list behind Ron Harris and Peter Bonetti.
