Chelsea star Eden Hazard has lauded his side’s efforts against La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night, as the Blues snatched a stoppage time winner at the new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.
Hazard, who has recently returned from injury and is now back in business with Chelsea, was vital in Wednesday night’s Champions League group stage victory, as he made his first start with summer signing Alvaro Morata.

The Belgian wing wizard assisted Morata’s goal in the Spanish capital with an inch-perfect cross, and the pair looked like they will be a deadly combination in weeks and months to come.
Speaking about the win, Hazard said (via the Evening Standard):
Since I came here, I think it is the first time we have beaten a really good and strong team in the Champions League
The Chelsea number 10 said that it was the club’s best win of the season so far, and had special praise for his team mates:
We did well. There were not just a few moments, it was from the first minute to the end of the game. That means we are a good team and have good players
The win over Atletico leaves Chelsea top of Champions League Group C, with six points from a possible six — they are now two points ahead of Roma, who they play in their next two European games, home and away; and the Blues are a brilliant five points ahead of Atletico, which provides them with a nice cushion should they not manage to beat Roma in both of their upcoming ties.
