It’s that time of year ladies and gentlemen, FIFA 18 is just around the corner.
Due to be released in late September, excitement is beginning to build as fans prepare to find out what is in store for this year’s version of the game.
Popular story mode ‘The Journey’ is set to return with Alex Hunter going on a European tour, but FIFA Ultimate Team remains the most used game mode.
With that in mind, we’re going to look at four Chelsea players that deserve an upgrade in FIFA 18.

Marcos Alonso: 79 > 81
Marcos Alonso was never expected to succeed in the way he did during his first season at Stamford Bridge.
Bought in from Fiorentina, he was remembered more for his days with Bolton and Sunderland, rather for than the player he had developed into in Italy.
Alonso quickly became a key part of Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system, offering Chelsea width from deep and pinpoint crosses.

His gold card finished FIFA 17 as a LWB rated 79 after starting as a 77 rated LM. Expect the majority of his statistics to get a reasonable boost, particular dribbling and crossing.
Victor Moses 78 > 80
Moses’ final rating on FIFA 17 was a 78 rated RWB. He, like Alonso, can expect a reward for his fine season under Conte, as Chelsea lifted the Premier League title.
After proving himself as a wing-back, expect his defensive stats to get a deserved improvement, while physicality is also likely to improve.

Both Moses and Alonso are likely to keep their positions as wing-backs in FIFA 18.
N’Golo Kante 83 > 84
The French midfielder follows the trend of both Moses and Alonso by receiving a mid-season upgrade.

Kante started FIFA 17 with an 81 rated card, only to see it boosted to 83, but he’s likely to push up to 84, if not higher, for the next instalment of the game.
The Frenchman proved himself to be among the best in his position throughout the Premier League card and we believe his FIFA 18 card will reflect that.
Kante joined an elite group of players to win back-to-back Premier League titles by lifting the trophy with the Blues last season.
He’ll be tested to his limits with the addition of Champions League football this time around, but expect him to be rewarded for a strong campaign none the less.
Pedro 83 > 84
The former Barcelona man was perhaps under rated going in FIFA 17. He didn’t have the best debut season at Stamford Bridge, so the figures were probably fair.
Under Conte however, the Spaniard has stepped up when it mattered, forming a great partnership with Eden Hazard on the pitch.

He finished Chelsea’s title-winning campaign with nine Premier League goals, a respectable total for a winger, who has Hazard and Willian for competition.
Whilst he’s a year older and a yard slower, his overall stats may not differ too much in FIFA 18, shooting is likely to get a small boost as well as his physicality.
