According to Goal, Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte is considering blocking Kenedy’s loan move to Newcastle after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain decided to snub Chelsea in favour of Liverpool.
The Blues had already agreed to send the young Brazilian out on season-long loan to Newcastle United, as they were confident that they could find a suitable replacement in an area where they are lacking depth.
However, due to the failure to bring in Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal, as well as the failure to sign a number of other potential targets, the Italian is now trying to scupper this agreement.

Kenedy is a talented youngster, but during pre-season, he ruined his reputation when he posted two offensive posts about China on his Instagram account. As a result, the club and the player had to make numerous apologies, and he received a fine and an official warning from the FA.
Following this incident, Kenedy’s immediate future at the club looked finished, but now thanks to Chelsea’s inability to sign a replacement, it looks like he will be staying after all.
