Chelsea are showing an interest in Ajax’s Davinson Sanchez, the Daily Star are reporting.
Sanchez joined Ajax last summer from Atletico Nacional in his native Columbia.
The Columbian international has been heavily linked with a move away from Ajax this summer with a host of top European sides said to be interested.
The defender impressed many last season at the heart of the Dutch side’s defence as he helped Ajax to reach the Europa League final where they lost to Manchester United.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported that Tottenham had a bid of around £36million for Sanchez rejected last week.
Ajax have reportedly offered Sanchez a bumper new contract, but with Sanchez having not signed the Dutch team are preparing to lose him this summer.
It’s believed that Sanchez’s preference would be to join Tottenham this summer having reportedly already held talks with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
However, both Chelsea and Real Madrid are said to be showing solid interest in the defender.
