According to the Liverpool Echo, Chelsea have emerged as strong favourites to take Ross Barkley away from Everton and bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Ronald Koeman confirmed last week that star midfielder, Barkley, wants to leave Everton this summer, amid interest from clubs such as Tottenham and now Chelsea.
Everton have put a £50m asking price on the Liverpool-born midfielder but Chelsea are still determined to buy him this summer, adding him to a list of new signings already brought in by Antonio Conte.
Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Morata joined from Roma and Real Madrid respectively, as well as midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco, who would rival Barkley for a midfield spot at Chelsea if he were to sign.

Barkley is looking for a new challenge in his career, so he may see Tottenham as a better option, as well as joining fellow promising Englishmen Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose. But Chelsea offer the trophy winning opportunities.
The 23-year-old midfielder has made 150 Premier League appearances, bagging 21 goals and the same amount of assists in that time.
He formed an amazing partnership with former Chelsea target and now Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku last season, helping The Toffees to a Europa League spot.
