Chelsea face Inter Milan in their final game of the pre-season tour of Singapore on Saturday.
After a narrow defeat to Bayern Munich, the Blues will want to bounce back, but they will not find it straightforward, playing a side who comfortably beat Chelsea’s last opponents 2-0.
However, it is likely that Antonio Conte has a more developed and prepared squad to select from, after two weeks of gruelling training sessions. This match is likely to portray a truer reflection of how Chelsea may perform going into the new season.
It is clear to see that Conte has chosen the approach to select the strongest side for pre-season matches, with chances for the younger players coming midway through the second half. After a shaky start against Bayern, Conte will want to ensure that his side make a much more composed start to the game.
With that in mind, here’s how we think Chelsea will lineup on Saturday.
GK – Thibaut Courtois
After conceding three in the first half against Bayern, Courtois will want to ensure Chelsea are as defensively sound as possible, with a clean sheet being the perfect preparation for the side.
RWB – Victor Moses
Needs to prove he is good enough to be first choice after a poor game defensively against Bayern.

CB – Cesar Azpilicueta
Arguably, the most reliable defender at the club, it is imperative that he starts against an Inter Milan side hungry to score goals.
CB – David Luiz
Did not start against Bayern, but when he came on, we looked in control, and a much stronger and more imposing defensive unit.
CB – Gary Cahill
Was the culprit for backing off Thomas Muller for the third goal against Bayern, but as he is now club captain, he needs to show he is deserving of the armband.
LWB – Marcos Alonso
After Kenedy was sent home, Alonso is the only left wing back option available on the tour, with the pursuit of Alex Sandro continuing.
CM – N’Golo Kante
Expect to see this man on the team sheet for most weeks of the season. He is crucial to the system that the manager wants to play.

CM – Cesc Fabregas
Did not have his best game against Bayern, and will look to prove his first choice place once more, which could be under scrutiny as Chelsea attempt to sign Renato Sanches.
RW – Willian
Despite having a quieter game on Tuesday, the Brazilian has been a major part of the positive notes from pre-season so far, and will look to continue in this rich vein of form.
LW – Jeremie Boga
This man has been the surprise package of the tour, and everyone involved with the club are desperate to see this young talent succeed at the top level.
ST – Alvaro Morata
After a promising 30-minute debut against Bayern, Morata will be given his chance to show how good he can be in a Chelsea shirt.
