Watford are confident of securing a deal for Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah this summer.
This is despite Chelsea offering the midfielder a lucrative five-year contract to keep him at the club.
Antonio Conte is said to be a fan of Chalobah and is willing to offer him more game-time in an attempt to make him sign a new deal.
According to the Evening Standard , that will not happen. He looks set to reject a new deal at Chelsea in order to complete a move away.

Watford, Swansea and Southampton are all thought to be in the race, but it is reported that Watford are leading the charge.
Chalobah has one year left on his contract and Watford could seal the deal for a fee in the region of £5m.
Chelsea were willing to give Chalobah £65k-per-week on a new deal but the Englishman is adamant that he wants regular minutes next season.
