Watford have completed the signing of Nathaniel Chalobah on a five-year deal from Chelsea.
Watford have confirmed in an official club statement that Chalobah has joined the Hornets for an undisclosed fee.
This is despite Chelsea offering the midfielder a lucrative five-year contract to keep him at the club.
Antonio Conte is said to be a fan of Chalobah and was willing to offer him more game-time in an attempt to make him sign a new deal.
Instead, Chalobah rejected the offer and has now signed for Watford to fight his way to becoming a Premier League regular.
Chalobah had one year left on his contract and Watford have sealed the deal for a fee in the region of £5m.
Chelsea were willing to give Chalobah £65k-per-week on a new deal but the Englishman is adamant that he wants regular minutes next season.
The 22-year-old returns to the club where he spent time on loan during the 2012/13 season.
