According to The Mirror, Manchester United have ended their pursuit of Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata after agreeing on a fee of £75 million to sign Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku, leading to Chelsea being interested in Morata.
Morata has been linked with United all summer and so has Lukaku for Chelsea, however, in the recent turn of events it looks like United will be signing Lukaku from Everton which means they’ll end their interest in the Madrid striker.

This has put Conte in a very awkward position as Lukaku to Chelsea seemed very likely, which led the Italian to tell Diego Costa he is no longer needed at the club.
With a deal to sign Lukaku looking less likely now and Costa edging closer to the exit door, Chelsea have to get a deal done for Morata and quick, as he is a very sort after striker.
Chelsea have previously shown major interest in Morata when he was at Juventus, especially after his impressive Euro 2016 campaign, which led Real Madrid to trigger a buy-back clause in his contract at Juventus as he was on Real’s books before joining the Italian giants.
