In an article by Sport Witness, it is rumoured that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants Real Madrid right back, Danilo, to join Chelsea at “express request”.
It was reported in Brazil on Monday that Chelsea agreed to match Madrid’s valuation of Danilo which is €29m plus €3m in bonuses, however, Marca took it back a couple of steps today.
Chelsea are still very interested in the Brazilian as well as Juventus, who are looking for a replacement for Dani Alves.
Real Madrid are won’t accept anything less than €35m for Danilo as Zinedine Zidane likes him as a player, meaning Chelsea must up their bid by €6m in order to get the deal done.
Danilo struggled at the beginning of his career at Real Madrid but he has now become a popular player in the squad and by the fans but he is still behind Dani Carvajal in the pecking order for right backs at Real Madrid.
With the 2017/18 being the season before the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Danilo may want to get a move away from Real Madrid so he can showcase his talents week in week out on the big stage which he’ll be able to do at Chelsea or Juventus.
