Antonio Conte wants to add depth to his midfield at Chelsea this summer and the Blues have been linked with a move for Porto starlet Ruben Neves.
Porto’s financial situation has put them under pressure to cash-in on a number of their most coveted players and despite the departure of Andre Silva they still need to let go of a couple of high-priced players.
Neves is also wanted by Liverpool but according to A Bola (h/t Sport Witness), Juventus have also now joined the race to sign the impressive 20-year-old.
After an impressive first two seasons in the first-team with Porto, the twice-capped Portugal international made just six Liga NOS starts for his boyhood club this past season.
Currently away with the Portugal U21 side competing at this summer’s European Championships, Neves could be offloaded this summer by Porto who seem open to the idea, but they’ve yet to receive an offer for him.
With a €40m release clause in his contract, it remains to be seen if Chelsea, Liverpool or Juventus will be willing to meet that fee or if Porto will be looking at accepting a cut-price offer.
