Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is close to joining Newcastle United on a season-long loan, as per a report from Rob Draper of the Daily Mail.
There was talk that Abraham would be kept at Chelsea for the 2017/18 campaign as the Blues now have to cope with the demands of a Champions League campaign and having already lost Dominic Solanke to Liverpool, they do look a little bit short of numbers in attack.
However, Chelsea have decided that a season playing regular football in the top-flight will be hugely beneficial to Abraham and will help with his development.

The 19-year-old scored 26 goals on loan at Bristol City last season and was one of the stand-out strikers in the Championship and he’ll now look to make the step-up to the Premier League.
Leicester City and Brighton were keen to get a loan deal secured for the player but it looks like he’ll be spending the year at St James’ Park.
