Premier League champions Chelsea are looking to snatch winger Kingsley Coman from under the noses of Bayern Munich this summer and bring him to Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Star.
The 20-year-old has just finished his two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich from Juventus.
The Frenchman was a revelation in his first season under Pep Guardiola, scoring six goals and providing 11 assists in all competitions. However Coman made just 19 Bundesliga appearances last season, many of those as a substitute.
Coman is expected to sign for the Bundesliga champions on a permanent deal after Bayern’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge already confirmed that they intend to take up their £18 million option for his signature.
However Coman’s apparent unrest due to lack of playing time could swing in favour of Chelsea as they hope to tempt him into a move to the Premier League.
Coman has already boosted Chelsea’s hopes of signing him by saying;
I thought about leaving Bayern. It’s very difficult to win a place in the team and get regular first team action.
A host of Premier League clubs are said to be interested in the winger, with it being reported in March that both Chelsea and Manchester City had made £43 million bids for the player. Arsenal and Tottenham are also being linked with his services.
