Chelsea were crowned FA Youth Cup champions for the fourth consecutive season as they tore apart Manchester City 5-1 in a thrilling encounter at Stamford Bridge.
Having drawn the first leg 1-1 at the Academy Stadium, the Blues came into the match knowing that a win would see them lift the FA Youth Cup yet again – and for the third successive time against City, with an aggregate score of 6-2 over the course of the two legs.
The Blues started well and didn’t give City the chance to settle at the Bridge.
Goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Dujon Sterling, Ike Ugbo, Callum Hudson-Odoi and substitute Cole Dasilva were all on the scoresheet, and City could only muster a response through Lukas Nmecha, who finished as the competition’s top goalscorer with 11 goals.
