Chelsea are one of many admirers of young Genoa prospect Pietro Pellegri, according to Calciomercato.
The forward has attracted attention from the top clubs after making his senior debut for Genoa in the Serie A at a staggeringly young age, at just 15-years-old at the end of last year.
Despite only coming on as an 88th minute substitute in a 1-0 loss to Torino, the appearance at such a young age for Pellegri is clearly an indication of the potentially successful future he may have at the top level of football.
The interest from top clubs such as Chelsea will be tempting for the youngster, although Pellegri has been training with the first team and if he commits his future to Genoa, a regular place in their first team lineup would be seriously considered.
However, Manchester United have also been scouting the player for a while, and are weighing up a move for the striker according to the report.
Italian giants Juventus are also in a strong position to fight for Pellegri’s signature after Genoa recently sold young talent Tomas Rincon to the current champions of Italy, and may be willing to negotiate another transfer of a young prospect to Turin.
Now 16-years of age, Pellegri faces an exciting future, and it seems that the possibility of a career defining move for the Italian is becoming increasingly likely.
