Marcos Alonso was full of praise for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte and the passion he shows whilst patrolling the touchline during matches after yesterday’s victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final.
According to Sam Long of the Evening Standard, Alonso told Talksport after the match,
Not just today – I think he [Conte] really lives the game and you can see he’s played it. He would love to be on the pitch.
Conte’s antics on the sideline have been a hit with not only the Stamford Bridge faithful but with his players as well. Alonso’s comments suggest that Conte’s fiery attitude alone has helped propel this Chelsea side into arguably the best team in England.

It was a very important game. All the big teams had already qualified for Wembley and we showed on the pitch how much we wanted to be there [at Wembley].
The way we are defending all together, not conceding and the way we put pressure on our rivals is a great job from everyone.
Last night’s match held even more significance as Jose Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge as Manchester United manager for a second time, with a spot in the FA Cup semi-final and a trip to Wembley on the line.
In the end, it was Conte’s men who had the last laugh, as ten-man Manchester United were eliminated by a score of 1-0.
