Premier League leaders Chelsea have made an approach to sign Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore, according to Sky Sports.
The 20-year-old joined Middlesbrough from Aston Villa in the summer but has since struggled to cement his place in the starting XI at the Riverside Stadium, with six of his 14 Premier League appearances coming from the bench.

Traore, despite his attacking prowess, has failed to register a goal or an assist this term but has performed well against the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea.
Antonio Conte is reportedly looking to make additions to his squad after allowing midfield duo John Obi Mikel and Oscar move to the Chinese Super League, and believes that Traore’s pace would make him a suitable acquisition.

Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford is expected to move the other way, with the 23-year-old in talks with the club he previously spent a season on loan at, but there is nothing to suggest that either player will be involved in a swap or part-exchange deal.
