Chelsea, five points clear atop of the English Premier League have recently been linked to numerous names in anticipation of the transfer market re-opening. The latest of the sorts goes by the name of Fernando Llorente.
According to Express, Antonio Conte and other Chelsea hierarchy see the Spaniard as a perfect backup to injury-prone Diego Costa.
Now I am focused exclusively on Swansea, in the complicated situation that we have ahead.
Is what Llorente responded with when asked about the Chelsea rumours, reported by Spanish news agency, EFE.
The 31-year-old is currently sitting bottom of the Premier League with Swansea. So, a straight move to the opposite end of the table could be very appetising and hard to turn down.
Llorente says he plans on sticking with the Swans, but leaves the door open to a move to west London with his praise of current Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte.
My experience with Conte at Juve was fantastic. He is the best coach I have ever had in my career and I wish him the best.
Will we see Llorente jump a sinking Swansea ship and reignite his partnership with Conte? Only time will tell.
