Chelsea are at home to AFC Bournemouth in this year’s Boxing Day fixture. The Blues start the festive period at top of the table, following eleven Premier League wins in a row. Whereas, Bournemouth currently sit in 10th position.
Antonio Conte’s side continued their remarkable form with a 1-0 win over London rivals Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, with a Diego Costa goal enough to beat the Eagles.
Chelsea will be without top scorer Costa, however, after the striker picked up his fifth yellow card of the season and earned a suspension. N’Golo Kante will also miss the game through suspension.
Bournemouth’s last result ended in a 3-1 loss to South Coast rivals Southampton. This game ended a run of good form for Eddie Howe’s team, with the Cherries beating champions Leicester as well as a remarkable comeback against Liverpool.
