Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur, at Stamford Bridge this Saturday, in a game famously dubbed ‘The battle of Stamford Bridge’ last season because of the fiery and dramatic events that unfolded.
With Eden Hazard’s late equaliser handing Leicester City an unprecedented first league title, and subsequently quashing any lingering hopes bitter rivals Tottenham had of claiming the Premier League title.
Chelsea will look to claim a seventh successive win with a seventh successive clean sheet also on the cards as the Blues aim to maintain their position at the top of the table.
Tottenham meanwhile are unbeaten so far and will look to continue that streak at a ground where they haven’t won in 26 years.
A lack of goals following the absence of Harry Kane have seen Tottenham succumb to six draws already this season, meaning that only a win will do if they are to propel themselves back into contention for a coveted Champions League spot.
Spurs are without Erik Lamela, Ben Davies and Toby Alderwiereld through injury – whilst Danny Rose is suspended for the game.
Chelsea, on the other hand, will be missing John Terry, Ruben Loftus-cheek and Mikel John Obi, who are all injured. Here’s who I think will start the game against Tottenham:
