Chelsea return to league action this weekend, following a disappointing outing in the EFL Cup in midweek.
The Blues went into their fourth round clash with West Ham in buoyant fashion, after three consecutive league victories, including last Sunday’s 4-0 drumming of Manchester United.
However, Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat to the Hammers showed signs that Antonio Conte’s men are not yet fully accustomed to the Chelsea manager’s new 3-4-3 formation, as Gary Cahill revealed earlier.
Southampton meanwhile saw off Sunderland in the EFL Cup in midweek, and have only lost one match in their last 10 outings in all competitions.
Claude Puel’s men are unbeaten at St. Mary’s this season while the Blues will be looking to pick up their third away victory of the season.
The team who has scored the first goal in this fixture has failed to take all three points in the last four meetings between the sides, but the Blues will be looking to end that run and make it four wins from four in the league.
Here’s who we think will start this weekend.
