Chelsea return to League Cup this action and face a trip to London rivals West Ham United.
Wednesday night’s fixture will be Chelsea’s first visit to the London Stadium, and the Blues will hope they can progress into the next round.
To reach this stage of the competition, Chelsea have already beaten League One side Bristol Rovers 3-2, with Michy Batshuayi scoring twice. The Blues then went on to play Premier League champions Leicester City and came from two goals down to win 4-2, with Cesc Fabregas scoring twice in extra time.
West Ham, on the other hand, have only played once in this competition so far this season, due to their brief spell in the Europa League earlier this season.
In round three, West Ham were at home to League 2 side Accrington Stanley. It took until the sixth minute of injury time for West Ham to find a winner, with a Dimitri Payet free-kick enough to send the Hammers through.
Chelsea have already met West Ham once this season, in the first game of the Premier League season. Antonio Conte’s side came out on top on that occasion, with an Eden Hazard penalty and a late Diego Costa winner enough to beat West Ham 2-1.
With Chelsea’s League Cup match against West Ham coming up, we take a look back at Chelsea’s five most recent round four fixtures in that competition.
