Italy manager Antonio Conte will be confirmed as the new Chelsea manager within the next 10 days, according to Sky Sport News HQ.
Conte’s representatives have been locked in negotiations with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia as Chelsea look to replace interim manager Guus Hiddink as well as finding a permanent successor to Jose Mourinho ahead of the new season.
Initial talks have reportedly been positive and with Conte keen to return to club management and open to moving to England.
The 46-year old’s Italy contract expires after the European Championships in the summer, allowing Chelsea to swoop in for Conte without having to agree on a compensation fee with the Italian Football Federation.

Sky Sports also reported that Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is the only other candidate in the running for the job at Stamford Bridge however given his success in the Spanish capital, a move for the Argentine from Chelsea looks unlikely.
Conte will replace Hiddink, who is set to retire at the end of the season, and returns to club football after a hugely successful three-year stint at the helm of Juventus, who he guided to three successive Serie A titles.
