Chelsea defeated Manchester City 5-1 at Stamford Bridge today as the Blues rebounded from their first leg defeat in Paris during the week.
With City fielding an inexperienced side ahead of their Champions League clash with Dynamo Kiev, manager Guus Hiddink seized the opportunity as the Londoners fielded a strong side looking to take advantage.
Chelsea got off to a good start after Diego Costa fired a diving header into the City net but the Citizens rebounded almost immediately through David Faupala.
Willian restored the lead and Gary Cahill added the third with a thumping strike past Willy Caballero. To top things off, Eden Hazard curled in a beautiful free-kick to cap off a fantastic performance and Bertrand Traore added a late goal too.
