MK Dons will be looking to pull off an upset in the FA Cup when they welcome Chelsea to Stadium MK on Sunday.
Chelsea go into the game positioned 13th in the top flight, four points of Watford in 10th who the Blues face in midweek, meanwhile, The Dons come to the game sitting 20th in the Championship. Karl Robinson’s side are fighting relegation, they sit just two points above the relegation zone.
Recent form of both clubs
Chelsea will be looking to carry on their positive run, after defeating rivals Arsenal in the London derby.
In recent weeks, Chelsea have showed great character and desire, which shown as they chased an equaliser against Everton. In the final seconds of the game, captain John Terry converted his shot to give Chelsea a vital point.
Robinson will want his team to start changing their results, starting off with a win against Chelsea. They’ve been very poor in recent weeks, losing 3-1 to Bolton and 5-0 to Burnley, either side of a 1-0 win over Reading in the league.
Team news
Guus Hiddink spoke about the frustrated defender, Gary Cahill and he is likely to feature in the game on Sunday.
Cahill is very happy and valued at Chelsea and the club will have him in the upcoming years.
In terms of injuries, Loic Remy will be out because with a minor injury to his calf, Diego Costa (knee) and Pedro (illness) are doubts but could feature on Sunday and Radamel Falcao looks likely to remain out of contention.
MK Dons manager, Robinson, has also been speaking about his team news. They have lost key man Carl Baker to injuries:
We’re devastated to lose Carl for an extended period, He’s our top scorer and was player of the year last season – losing a player like that will impact any team.
As well as Baker, Ben Reeves and Nicky Maynard won’t be available for the Championship side due to injuries, while Kyle McFadzean is back from suspension.
