Sam Wallace of The Telegraph has today reported that ex-Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is currently looking at two clubs: Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Upon his departure from Chelsea, rumours that Mourinho would look to immediately make a move back to the Santiago Bernabeu and take over Los Blancos for a second time immediately circulated.
Mourinho managed Real Madrid for three seasons, winning La Liga in 2012 as well as the Copa del Rey in 2011 before returning to Chelsea in 2013.
The Spanish giants currently sit behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in the league table, and they were disqualified from competing in the Copa del Rey. It is only half way through Rafa Benitez’s first season in charge at the club, yet many are calling for him to get sacked and replaced by the newly jobless Mourinho.
On the contrary, Mourinho’s family does not wish to move back to the city of Madrid, which adds an extra dose of complexity to the situation.

Now, Mourinho is waiting to see how the situation at Manchester United develops before making such a move. Louis van Gaal’s job as first team manager is currently under major scrutiny, as the club is stuck in a situation similar to Chelsea’s.
Also, Mourinho is not interested in international management. If United intrigues Mourinho, and his family would rather not move back to Madrid, we may see the Portuguese rivalling Chelsea in the near future.
