Jose Mourinho’s odds to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked have been slashed according to the Evening Standard, following the Blues disappointing defeat at the hands of newly promoted side Bournemouth.
BetVictor were previously offering Mourinho at 12/1 to face the chop, however, he is now at only 4/1.
He is level with Newcastle manager Steve McClaren, however, Garry Monk is still ahead of both of them, with Swansea’s poor season so far placing him at 2/5 to be ousted.
Chelsea currently sit 14th in the table, 14 points away from the Champions League places and 17 away from top of the table Leicester City. They have only four wins to their name all season.
Chelsea’s next game is against Porto in the Champions League, a game that if they avoid defeat, will see them qualify for the knockout stage of the competition. Up next in the Premier League for Mourinho, is table toppers, Leicester.
