Controversy is never far from a meeting between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger and the games are never short of entertaining, this one was no different.
Chelsea flew into a 2-0 lead thanks to early goals from Andre Schurrle and Samuel Eto’o. However, the real talking point of the game came when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain handled the ball on the line.
Normally, the winger would have been sent off for his actions, but he wasn’t, well not quite anyway. Andre Marriner, the referee that day sent off Kieran Gibbs incorrectly, despite Oxlade-Chamberlain telling the referee he made the wrong decision. The game was never the same from there and the floodgates opened.

Eden Hazard converted from the spot. Two goals from Oscar and Mohamed Salah’s first Chelsea goal made it a whopping 6-0 to Chelsea. It was an amazing performance from Chelsea, which may not have got the credit it deserved due to the poor decision by Marriner.
