Chelsea are becoming increasingly frustrated with Jeremie Boga’s lack of action for Rennes and threatened to cancel the loan deal, according to TalkSPORT who quote L’Equipe.
The highly rated midfielder joined the French outfit on a season-long loan in the summer, but the 18-year-old has struggled to make an impact for Philippe Montanier’s side despite seven appearances from the bench this term.
Boga’s limited playing time has irritated Chelsea to the point where they are contemplating ending the loan spell prematurely unless the Frenchman starts featuring in the first eleven more often.

As one of Chelsea’s most highly touted academy products, many had expected Boga to challenge for a starting spot but the lack of minutes has made the Chelsea staff fear for his development.
Boga had earned his first start of the season on Saturday and scored in Rennes 2-2 draw with Stade Reims, showing promising signs that the youngster will begin to feature more for Rennes.
If Chelsea were to end the loan deal, there will surely be a long list of suitors keen to sign Boga on a short-term deal after his exploits in the Chelsea academy last year.
