Striker, Lewis Walker has completed a week long trial period at Chelsea according to London24, after catching the scouting teams eye in the FA Youth Cup. The son of former England player Des Walker, Lewis plays for Evo-Stick Northern Premier League side Ilkeston.
Lewis is highly sought after by Premier League clubs, however, Chelsea have made the first move for the 17-year-old. Chelsea already have potential striking stars such as Patrick Bamford, Dominic Solanke and Tammy Abraham on their books.
Chelsea Under 21’s are in action today, but Walker is not involved. No official comment has been made by the club and it is unknown whether the player impressed the coaching set up at Cobham, making Stoke City the front runners to land the youngster.
Des Walkers’ other son, Tyler, is on Nottingham Forest’s books but is also thought to have a huge future in the top divisions of English football
