According to The Evening Standard, Chelsea are hopeful of concluding discussions with Brazilian international Willian over a new deal at Stamford Bridge, with the winger taking home £100k-a-week.
The West London club are interested in rewarding Willian for his performances this season, despite what has been going on in other departments across the board in the squad.
Despite the poor form, Willian has been Chelsea’s best player this season, and therefore the current Premier League champions are hoping to persuade the magician to extend his stay at the club for the long-term.
Willian’s current £80k-a-week deal is set to expire in 2018, but the Blues are interested in extending the deal for a further two years, adding an extra £20k-a-week to the star’s wages.

Discussions about the extension have already taken place, and it’s only a matter of when the deal is signed, not if. Back in February, Eden Hazard signed a new long-term deal keeping him at Stamford Bridge for a further five years, whilst Willian’s fellow Brazillian comitting his future to the Blues until 2019.
