According to the Daily Mail, Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he regrets not playing with Luis Suarez at Barcelona.
Fabregas told Daily Mail:
I wish I had played with him (Suarez) at Barcelona because he is a striker with whom I would have had a phenomenal understanding.

The two moved in opposite directions during the summer of 2014, with Fabregas making the move to England and Suarez moving to Spain. While many regard Fabregas’s time in Barcelona as somewhat of a failure, the Spaniard insists he would have linked up well with the Uruguayan striker.
The 28-year-old also expressed his admiration of Neymar, explaining that he felt the Brazilian had stepped up in Messi’s absence.

Barcelona have fantastic players. The three in attack decide matches, even though the best of them all is missing at the moment and that’s Lionel Messi. But Neymar has taken a step forward.
Furthermore, the Spaniard has illustrated his excitement for the upcoming El Classico between Barcelona and Real Madrid. He is hoping that his former teammate, Lionel Messi is available for the fixture.

I don’t know if he will play, let’s hope so, for the good of football and also Barcelona.
Considering that Fabregas developed his trade in Barcelona’s youth academy before moving to Arsenal, the Spaniard will always hold close ties to his former club. However, at this point it would be good to see the 28-year-old rediscover his form at his current club.
