Montreal Impact striker and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has ruled out playing for The Blues during the MLS off season. The former Ivory Coast captain has said that he is open to training with his former club but will not be making a return to the first team squad.
To train? Why not? But it’s something that I would need to discuss with the club (Montreal) because I belong to them.

The Ivorian has thus far played extremely well in the MLS notching up 11 goals in 11 games for the Canadian side, and would be an ideal attacking option for Jose Mourinho’s side during the MLS off-season. However, the 37-year-old striker is not too keen on the idea.

Playing? I’m not too hot on that idea. I need to rest and making sure that I’m ready for the new season.
Didier Drogba is held in high esteem at Stamford Bridge having won four Premier League titles, three League Cups, four FA Cups, the Community Shield and also the Champions League during his team at the club, so it goes without saying that fans of the London-based team would love to see the return of the Ivorian striker.
