According to RMC Sports, former Chelsea defender, Frank LeBeouf believes that Jose Mourinho has in fact lost the dressing room.
LeBeouf told RMC Sports:
One gets the impression he has lost the dressing room. He has lost its leaders. That means, as usual, he has not been able to progress in the third year.
There have been several reports over the past few months that have indicated as much. Fabregas even had to come out and dismiss reports that he had led a revolt against Mourinho.
Fabregas told the Mirror:
Mourinho trusts us and we trust him, obviously it is a lie [that Fabregas led a mutiny against Mourinho]. I backed him in a very difficult time. My relationship with Mourinho is good, as always, but when things aren’t going well people are always looking for something.
Overall, with the amount of reports surfacing on the topic, it’s hard to believe that it’s 100% peaceful in the Stamford Bridge dressing room. That being said, when things are going poorly, it’s an easy story for the media to embellish. I believe that there aren’t any uprisings or revolts.
However, I am sure there are several players questioning Mourinho’s tactics, and who can blame them?
That being said, Chelsea’s best chance to improve is being united. They would be better off training hard, and working towards turning around the individual form. Leave the tactics to the man who gets paid to analyse them. Mourinho has won in every country he’s coached in. If given the time, he’ll get it right.
