Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has spoke of how he feels as though star players Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have simply done too little to help Jose Mourinho’s side this season, who find themselves in a surprisingly low position, in 16th.
The former Chelsea maestro played over 300 games for the club but is saddened to see how his old club is performing season and has called for the game-changing players within the ranks to step up in a time where Chelsea and their under-pressure manager Jose Mourinho need them the most.

The attacking pair of Costa and Hazard have looked a shadow of what they were last season, as they managed to score a combined 34 goals and set up 12 assists for their other team-mates as Chelsea went on to dominantly win the league.
The poor form of key offensive players Eden Hazard and Diego Costa has not helped.
However, it was not just Costa and Hazard that Zola has felt have been underperforming, speaking of how the Chelsea defence has been far from impressive this season.
Defensively as well the team dropped the standards set last year. So the players have lost confidence as a group and this has led to poor results.
The attacking pair of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have had key roles in just four goals for Mourinho’s men; a stat that needs to improve in order for more success at Stamford Bridge this season.
